Home wanted for lovable bitch
The Jena-Saale-Holzland Veterinary Office (ZVL J-SH) is supporting the placement of the adorable Alabai (Ovcharka) dog "Mine", who is currently at the Jena animal shelter. Mine's owner was no longer able to care for Mine for health reasons. For this reason, the dog was rehomed with the help of the veterinary office. We are now urgently looking for a new home for Mine where she can settle in and feel at home. The ZVL J-SH is not the owner of the dog.
Mine is a cozy lady who was adopted as a puppy from another European country with cropped ears and a docked tail. Mine is house-trained, knows basic commands and walks on a lead. She is initially suspicious of strangers, but after getting to know them she is trusting and friendly. According to her previous owner, Mine used to live with a cat, of whom she was sometimes jealous. She loves being around people and loves to be with her human.
In keeping with her breed, a new home with a larger property would be ideal. She also does her guarding duties, but her protective instinct is not very pronounced. She is not good with other dogs, so we do not recommend keeping her as a second dog. No statement can be made about her interaction with children. It would be desirable for her to be kept by someone who is experienced with dogs.
If you would like to meet Mine in person, please make an appointment.
